FC/SC - Is this Fired Coach and Sacked Coach

The Kenyan Premier League Season has come to a close, and it will bring about a few changes to faces. Aside from the player transfers and other “such-like” movements, we will need to lack at the men in charge. The initials “FC” and “SC” will mean “Fired/Sacked Coach.”

I am trying to think of Bandari FC who had a great run in the first leg. Will they retain Twahir Muhiddin? They should. We need to accept that the physical of the most of Bandari players was affected when they observed Ramadhan, something that Muhiddin looked at mitigating by including non-Muslim players in his squad. He had a poor finish in 1999 and 2000 with Oserian Fastac before winning two league titles in 2001 and 2002. Can he do so with Bandari? Let’s see if he will be retained a the Harbourmen’s Master.
Sofapaka; all potential but no kinetics is their story. Sam Timbe has job lined up for him and his mission is to ensure that 2014 is the year of cross country travel for his charges. Just a note though; Monsieur Elly Kalekwa can be impatient.
Juma Abdallah has this thing with Thika Road. He will have to reinvent his side after a sprint start, too long a jog, and sprint finish. Will he be retained? The bankers may look at the momentum of his side and put him on notice if his side blows a gasket mid next – season. It would be good to talk for Leonard Saleh just in case.
Coach John Kamau of Thika United will have some thinking to do. Thika have a knack of retaining coaches. His biggest challenge will be the same one Juma Abdallah had – keeping momemtum. Every season, Thika set the pace. In athletics they call pace setters rabbits. In 2013, Thika will have to be sly rabbits under Kamau. Hope the club does not turn out to be a “finishing school” as has been in the past.
Zedekiah Otieno “Zico” should skype a former Blue Samurai tactician. Zico had his tenure at Gor cut short, and if his side faces the drop, it may be worse. South Nyanza Sugar may issue a statement that has got to do “right sizing, corporate focus, re-engineering” and other corporatese (a language understood by company executives and regurgitated by business journalists) in respect to the side. Michael Nam may be a good man to speak to also for Zico.

Karuturi Sport may be funded by roses, but looks like they have the thorny stems. For this side, with all the drama surrounding it; makes it a tough call. Do not know if they will also be redeployed to the greenhouses, pack houses, and cold storages – but going down they have, and corporatese will determine if for them FC is “Football Capiche.”
